Alaska Wolf Lodge: The Bed & Breakfast

We are located at 1900 Wickersham Drive, just one mile from downtown Juneau!  The Alaska Wolf Lodge is close enough to walk to all the shopping, excursion departures, pubs and restaurants, yet far enough to allow your stay to be quiet and peaceful.  Most of our guests walk downtown (slight down hill) and take a cab back or use Juneau's excellent public transportation that has a stop just below us.  If you are staying in Juneau for awhile, we recommend renting a car. We often arrange to have the car delivered here for our guests at no additional charge.

Juneau is the jewel in the crown that is Southeast Alaska!  Using Juneau as your base, you can easily access, via air or marine highway, attractions such as Glacier Bay, Skagway, Tracy Arm, Taku River, and Admiralty Island. When you decide to stay in Juneau, there is plenty to do from hiking trails to museums to shopping! Think of us as your private concierge for pre-booking events.  We can reccommend and reserve Helicopter Tours, Fishing Excursions, Whale Watching and Eco-Tours, Mount Roberts Tramway and Glacier Gardens Tours.  We highly recommend you have us make any of these reservations when you book your stay with us as these tours and excursions often fill up 6 months before the summer season starts.  Here are some suggestions to get you started:

Fishing with a licensed Alaska fishing guide (your Innkeeper, Jeff).  This is mostly shore fishing in the summer because of time constraints involved with taking the Sea Wolf out of harbor and still having the time to dedicate to serving our guests world class breakfasts every day here at The Alaska Wolf Lodge!  Tony caught these two King Salmon last summer.  We will also help you arrange for cleaning, packing and even smoking your days catch.

Helicopter tours with Juneau's only locally owned and operated Helicopter tour company.  Some of our guests went a little further with their tour by getting married on the glacier!

Tours and tastings at Roy's Select Alaskan Catch.  Roy's cold-smoked Sockeye Salmon is often served here at the Alaska Wolf Lodge.  When he is not out catching fish we can usually arrange a free tour of his facility for you.  We ship his fish to the "lower 48", so that you can revisit Alaska with your tastebuds when you get home...

If Jeff and the Sea Wolf are not available we can book you an uforgettable trip with Captain Case Harris.  He has over forty years of  Alaskan boating experience.  Fishing, diving and sight seeing abound less than a mile from the Alaska Wolf Lodge!

Mount Roberts Tramway.  Take breath-taking photographs from the mountain station - 1800 feet up the mountain - or from one of many observation points.  Or grab your camera and hike the well-marked trails suitable for every level of ability, including a handicap-accessible trail.  The mile-loop trail has interpretive signs and traditional living-tree totem carvings.  Sturdy outdoor enthusiasts can trek to the pristine alpine meadows for a lifetime memory-maker: a 360-degree panoramic view.  As a service to our guests, we can advance purchase your tickets allowing you to avoid long lines and have more time to enjoy Mount Roberts!

Eaglecrest Ski Area, Home of World Cup Downhill Champion Hilary Lindh, Eaglecrest is located on Douglas Island, just twelve miles from downtown Juneau, Alaska. We have discounted vouchers!

Eaglecrest features 640 acres of open-tree slopes offering a vertical drop of 1,400 feet and an average annual snowfall of 300 feet. Two double chairlifts and a surface lift serve 31 runs. The diverse terrain and snow conditions will challenge everyone from the first timer to the expert thrill seeker. The Day Lodge includes a rental and repair shop, PSIA/AASI certified snowsports school, and cafeteria. Eaglecrest also includes eight kilometers of set Nordic trails, a Terrain park with jumps & rails and a two-lane SnowTubing Hill and lift.

Sightseeing, fishing and hanging out with Port Matilda's "Soapy", Juneau's "Putz" and Philly's "Flash" are rare, but if you happen to be here when these three men are in town- watch out!  They will most certainly make your visit to Juneau unforgettable! Seriously though, these gentlemen are dedicated to good times in Juneau and often travel thousands of miles every year to visit The Alaska Wolf Lodge for their shenanigans...
